"BOHOL IS TRULY A JEWEL"

"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." - Marcel Proust

Bohol is truly the jewel of the Philippines. A place which defines the natural beauty with amazingly hospitable community. The moment I stepped my foot in Bohol, the overwhelming excitement exists. As the journey starts, the beauty in it captures my interest and leads me to go back as I don't want to end my moments with it. In this blog post, I am sharing to you my overwhelming gratitude and flames of happiness the moment I traveled Bohol.

Our course will allow us to travel around the places here in the Philippines. Bohol was one of my dream destination and it has been declared that Bohol will be one of our destination in the said tour. My happiness bursts out as I hear the news. Been dreaming this for a long time and anytime this dream will about to achieve. Long story short, I now stepped in Bohol.

The weather is clear, the wind is cold, the people are warm, and the looks are great. Bohol is truly a jewel.

Meeting with other tourist was also my dream as a young traveler. Their smile and ours creates an unwavering bond even in a bit time span.

What make Bohol truly amazing?

Bohol have it all, from Natural Wonders, Cultural Heritage, Eco-tourism  and Adventure and many more. However, I only managed to travel only a few of the tourists spots in Bohol.

Bohol is located in the heart of the Visayas , and is a treasure trove of natural wonders , rich history, and its vibrant culture. This magical island , known for its breathtaking views and wonders, is a must visit destination in your trips.

- Chocolate Hills are a trippy swath of nearly identical mountains. During the rainy season, the small foothills become blanketed in grass. But in the summer, as the grass dies off, the view is transformed into more than 1,700 small brown mounds that stretch on for miles. Some visitors have compared it to a spread of Hershey’s Kisses, giving this natural attraction its name (Provencher, 2023)

- The Loboc River Cruise is one of the most popular tours in Bohol Island, offering a unique way to explore its lush landscapes while enjoying a buffet lunch on a floating restaurant. Set along the Loboc River, one of the island’s cleanest and most scenic waterways, this cruise provides a relaxing journey through verdant jungles, nipa palm forests, and local riverside villages (Guide to the Philippines)

- The Bohol Mahogany Forest, more commonly known as the Bilar Man-Made Forest, is a dense forest stretching two kilometers along the border of Loboc and Bilar towns in Bohol. The forest is mainly made up of white and red mahogany trees. It is part of a reforestation project started over 50 years ago (Guide to the Philippines)

How to access Bohol's destinations?

- If you're from Mindanao like me, all you need to do is to travel through either water or air transportation but in my case we traveled Bohol through water based transportation. We also used dedicated buses for our tour in order for us to follow our itinerary and to avoid delays in our journey. However, for some reasons, the destinations mentioned above are accessible through land transportation as long as it is sufficient as possible. Some destinations are free, but some destinations are fee based destinations. Lastly, Bohol is truly as worthy as what you expect.
